Overview
Retained Access Program ("the app") is designed to operate entirely on your Android device. This policy explains what information the app handles, where it's stored, and what — if anything — ever leaves your phone.
Information the app stores
The app stores the data you enter directly, on your device, in a local database. This includes:
- Vehicle records you create (make, year, model, and related details)
- Notes, tags, and photos you attach to a vehicle or product
- Product and manufacturer entries you add, including attached manuals or spec sheets
- Timer results and analyzer settings you save
None of this information is transmitted to us or to any third-party server, because the app does not include network calls to any backend service.
Device permissions
The app may request the following device permissions, each used solely for its stated purpose and never for tracking or advertising:
- Camera and photo storage — to attach install photos to notes and vehicles.
- Microphone — to power the Real-Time Analyzer and Tone Generator's live audio input.
- Storage access — to attach and open product manuals or PDF files you choose.
- Nearby devices / Wi-Fi Direct — used by the Share tool to transfer your data directly to another device you control. This transfer is local, device-to-device, and does not pass through any server we operate.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers, analytics networks, or any other third party. The app has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics tracking built in.
Data retention and deletion
Your data stays on your device for as long as the app is installed. Uninstalling the app removes its local data in accordance with standard Android app behavior. Using the Share tool to send a copy to another device is a deliberate action you control — we have no way to access, retrieve, or delete data once it's on your device or a device you've shared it to.
Children's privacy
The app is a professional tool intended for automotive technicians and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
